One that actually fixes some of the REAL problems at the border such as the threadbare immigration courts and all the laws making legal immigration so onerous that illegal immigration is inevitable.
Its a bad bill that is good to campaign on. Fox and the ilk have ramped the border up to be a huge issue when it isn’t. Its almost the only weapon the GOP has, so hammering on the fact that dems had agreed to the most GOP loved, restrictive border bill in 25 years and Trump publicly and loudly killed it is a fantastic tool to use.
Not really, no. The vast majority of undecided voters aren’t right wing people trying to decide between the parties, but left wing people trying to decide if voting is worth the bother. It of course is, but not everyone is convinced.

You have to be blind or stupid to think the Democratic party is against border tightening, all of the highest numbers of deportation in the last 30 years have been with Dems in office.
