He compared the 2021 insurrection to the protests in Minneapolis and other cities in 2020 following the death of George Floyd by Minneapolis police and to more recent protests at the Capitol last week by demonstrators opposed to the war in Gaza. Trump falsely claiming that no one was arrested in those other demonstrations and that only his supporters were targeted.

As Trump made the comparison, a man in the back of the room shouted out: “Sir, have you no shame?”

    None. Literally none at all.

“Haven’t you been paying attention? No, I have no shame. Nobody has less shame than I do, everyone is saying it.”

That might be one superlative I’d actually believe if he said it.

“I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black and now she wants to be known as Black. So, I don’t know, is she Indian or is she Black?” Trump said

“I didn’t know about this thing, so it didn’t happen until I knew about it” is a concept my child needs to learn about, not a presidential candidate…

He doesn’t understand how sombody can be more than one thing. Because everyone around him is so one dimensional.

Indian mother and a black father and still American? How is this possible?! Its nearly as if she fell out of a coconut tree.

        A thought:

If Trump thinks that Kamala Harris should claim she’s Indian because she has an Indian mother, then Barack Obama should claim he’s white for the same reason.

Too bad no one in the press will bring that up to him.

“I think it’s disgraceful that I came here in good spirit. I love the Black population of this country, I’ve done so much for the Black population of this country,” Trump said.

He’s a parody of himself. If there wasn’t a real threat behind his existence, I’d happily do nothing but laugh at the ridiculousness of his claims.

              Funny you say that.

I was in a nasty argument with my mom last night about her use of the racist slur “illegals”. I told her that people can’t be illegal. She replied that shes not a racist and that they’re illegal because they broke the law. I shot back, “oh, so, since you got that speeding ticket, that makes you an illegal?” “No! They committed a felony!” So I said, “oh, so Trump is a 34 times illegal then?”

              She said, “that’s different!”

“Why? Because he’s white? See, that’s why you’re racist.”

She screamed, “fuck you!” and hung up the phone.

She texted me later, saying I was following a “Marxist script”. I texted back, “oh, yeah? What script did Marx write that said brown people were ‘illegal’, but white people weren’t? Was it in the letter to Lincoln praising him for freeing the slaves, or in Das Kapital? Because I must have missed it. Why don’t you send me a copy of where you read that.”

                  She blocked me.

I guess the good thing this indicates is that black people as a population have significant voting power if the Trump campaign tactic is to alienate Harris from black voters

Now we know why they gerrymander so hard, b/c otherwise their ghouls probably won’t even come close to being elected

Yes. There are a decent swath of votes who vote Republican but aren’t tuned in super well. Studies show that only about 30% support trump directly. That leaves 15% to 20% of his voters who simply vote the party or vote based on “it’s better for my wallet”

By running on racism and other distasteful platforms, it will chip into that normies pool, and they are likely to not turn out. Not all of the normies will see it or be affected by it, but if even 5% of the voting population chooses to not vote over voting for trump, it will be a disaster for trump and down ballot Republicans.

The hilarious part of all this would be to see America actually elect this idiot. Say what you want about him but he’s running to lead the most powerful country in the world.

The fact that he is even a contender says more about America than anything.

I stopped laughing at Trump a long time ago … I now point my finger at the American population.

I have hope for the US because of Harris but if Trump wins it, the world will never look at the US with any bit of respect (if there ever was any left) ever again.
