      Yes. There are a decent swath of votes who vote Republican but aren’t tuned in super well. Studies show that only about 30% support trump directly. That leaves 15% to 20% of his voters who simply vote the party or vote based on “it’s better for my wallet”

      By running on racism and other distasteful platforms, it will chip into that normies pool, and they are likely to not turn out. Not all of the normies will see it or be affected by it, but if even 5% of the voting population chooses to not vote over voting for trump, it will be a disaster for trump and down ballot Republicans.

        I don’t think being completely ignorant and oblivious to the world around them for ~8 years is “normal”, lol

        Nor is “It’s better for my wallet”, imo
