    already beat Trump

Barely. Won the popular vote by a smaller margin than Hillary did in 2016 and won the few swing states that determined thr EC by a smaller margin than Trump did that same year.

And that was with more people voting against Trump than for Biden. Using “I’m not Trump” as the foundation strategy of his campaign.

He’s using the same strategy even though it barely worked the first time and it works much better AGAINST an overwhelmingly terrible incumbent than FOR a mostly underwhelming incumbent.

Only his most fanatic (or rich) followers claim that he’s significantly changed their lives for the better since the wrecking ball that is Trump.

His stance on the genocide is extremely unpopular, especially amongst all the people who are his own potential voters.

His refusal to either back down on his unconditional support for a fascist apartheid regime committing crimes against humanity every day or drop out of a race he’s losing has exposed the one aspect where he and Trump are completely identical:

They’re both pathologically unable to admit mistakes and take constructive criticism into account. A trait that should disqualify them both from holding high office, let alone the highest of all.

TL;DR: Biden is throwing American democracy away because of a combination of bad strategy and his Trump-like pathological stubbornness and pride.
