So I’m significantly ahead in the light novels and let me tell you something: He just parried an elder god to death, and he’s still pretty oblivious. I haven’t read the very very latest novel yet, but I’m sure he’s not going to undergo any kind of major epiphany and become brilliant.
It’s the core humorous concept of the series, that he’s a strange person who has no sense of common sense.
Honestly, they probably should. It’s.crazy all the privacy sites that seem to just hammer the pirate web manga sites.
New LN came out recently too. Eating well this summer!
In Trigun, I always thought that the disconnect between Vash pretending to be lecherous and the reality of him pretending to be passed out when girls come up to actually do something with him shows it’s part of his facade and adds a lot of depth to what could otherwise be a shallow character trait.
I loved the english gibberish at the end.
It’s fun. It wasn’t near the top of my list that season (but that season was an absolute banger), but it’s a very back to basics tale about the value of hard work and sacrifice and treating your friends right.
This has turned into one of my favorite anime of the season.
One of the coolest things about isekai is I find a lot of writers use it as a springboard to the genre they actually want to write.
Reading “only the villainous lord has the power to level up” was crazy because it’s this big epic political story and that’s where I really realized how much authors are just using the gimmick as a springboard to a story that really isn’t remotely isekai-like.
Not watching the show, but I can’t see that title without thinking of sora the troll: “BYE BYE TO ZA ASS!”
I know a lot of people were complaining that the show got slow, but I find all the stuff going on really interesting this season.
I haven’t watched through this one yet, but I found the first book in the light novel series relatively self-contained, and I didn’t really feel like the later books added much to the series. Assuming it made it through that first book, it might be worthwhile sitting exactly where it is.
whooooooooooooooo
Slime is one of my favorite isekai. Even with all the genocide it’s just too wholesome.
I always figured slime is a story about the power of friendship, so sometimes you need some chatting around a table because friends don’t just use demon lord powers on each other all the time.
