It looks so incredibly dumb to say you aren’t aware of the situation. At least say you’re aware but don’t have a comment yet pending further investigation…

Weird question, but why does my instance say you’re a bot? It’s right next to your username.
Continuous use of aluminum-based antiperspirant actually makes you sweat more overall, so OP probably made a good choice.
You may want to consider in your made-up scenario the reason behind an entire neighbourhood refusing to give any information.
So you’re advocating for fewer civil rights (or at least for people not to exercise their civil rights) because it saves you time and money? Spoken like a true pig.
Can’t believe an Electrical and Electronics Engineer would do that. RIP in peace.
In terms of description, what should we call a toy that is a digital product? If I said to a friend, “I played a paper doll toy on my PC yesterday,” I would just get a ton of follow-up questions.
Or what about, “I work at a development studio that makes toys for release on Steam”? Confusing. Are games that force a retry (like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time) toys or interactive fiction because losing isn’t really an option? And does a definitive answer actually matter? Would it even be respected by an audience? Is doing the dishes a game?
I think there’s room for movement within genre and media, especially when it comes to something interactive.
The bar isn’t really that high if you look at how cases that are solved actually got solved (deductive reasoning, forensic analysis, trust from the community including the marginalized, and focused manpower from people who give a fuck).
It’s just that the people who want to be cops are more interested in wearing a fancy uniform, using weapons, harassing poor people, and beating their spouses than actually doing real work that involves brain power. Not to mention office politics.
Magic omniscience would probably help though. They should work on that after solving the “violent and stupid” issue. ;)
Yeah, I’ve heard about the same. Roughly 2% even for violent crime. And yet revisiting their budgets is apparently fucking communism.
Ah, I dunno. That game was boring. Don’t get me wrong, I played many hours of it, but I did so with the understanding something interesting would come of it story-wise and nothing ever did.
Aren’t police clearance rates for missing persons and murder cases like, in the low single digits? Cops aren’t good at this.
Et cetera is actually 2 words, just so you know.
If I had to guess, this is a service manual for approved third party repair shops that they’ve simply released to the public. So it likely wouldn’t contain any proprietary information that wasn’t explicitly necessary for the physical repair of the device.
I liked trans porn before it was cool! Now that it’s mainstream it’s no fun anymore. :( /s
Maybe you could read the article and learn something:
But the tiny electronic devices remain a vital means of communication in some areas - such as health care and emergency services, thanks to their durability and long battery life.
“It’s the cheapest and most efficient way to communicate to a large number of people about messages that don’t need responses,” said a senior surgeon at a major U.K. hospital, adding that pagers are commonly used by doctors and nurses across the country’s National Health Service (NHS). “It’s used to tell people where to go, when, and what for.”
Smartphones do a lot of things that might not be needed (look into how many different sensors they have). Sometimes a person doesn’t have access to a charger or time to charge a device and running out of battery could mean someone dies.

Lol… the US would veto it.
