Bulk prices are generally cheaper per unit but it’s very, very possible to not be able to bear the upfront cost of a large number of units and be forced by that to spend more money in smaller chunks over a longer time
There’s no edited tag on the post so I have to wonder how (1889-2024) wasn’t an indicator too lol
Thanks, that was really necessary and greatly added to the conversation.
I’d be really impressed if anyone still gamed on ATI.
I’m not that guy but yes and Nvidia
I was on reddit slightly before subreddits were added as functionality, so 16ish years, and lemmy to me just feels like that 2008ish reddit except most of the userbase is 40 instead of 18
Kei vehicles are exempt from most Japanese safety standards, because they’re meant for city driving with max speeds of 40-60 kph and everyone driving them knows and acknowledges that you’re just fucked if you get into an accident at speeds higher than that (and not doing great even at 40kph). It’s an explicit trade of safety for lower cost
That’s a bit harsh
You don’t even need to read the article, just the summary already on lemmy
What aluminum cans are you getting that don’t have a plastic lining?
My 3900X idles at 35 and hits 65 when it’s 100% all cores. With a decent cooler modern AMD runs pretty chill
I actually like the taste of pure cranberry juice, but it’s too expensive to buy just for drinking so I mostly end up drinking half the bottle while I cook holiday meals after I’ve started the cranberry sauce
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/drm_on_gog_list_of_singleplayer_games_with_drm/page1
This is a pretty maintained list, and even if I disagree with the inclusion of some things because all you’re missing is cosmetics, it is pretty easy to argue that “complete game offline” should include all content of that game, so I’m not gonna start a fight about it
But if you buy from GOG, make sure it doesn’t have DRM, because GOG has been selling a few games that have DRM for a few years now
As funny as that would be I don’t think it would be as funny as when the internet memed Morbius into bombing twice, which was also Sony
I mean, using a controller in and of itself is not suspect, but the model they used is the cheapest one you can get with a recognizable name and is known for being unreliable, which is absolutely a suspect decision to make when it’s the only method of control
Not actually! I mean, yes, you’d need another device, but your router itself can be the VPN host if it’s the right model. The VPN server software is extremely lightweight, so most higher end routers just include it as an option in management, but you can get away with a cheap router and something like a cheap raspberry pi/clone, which would also give you something to put pihole on
I’ve got a VPN set up on my home server so when I leave the house, my public IP is still the same on my laptop as it is at home. If you’ve got people sending you messages directly via IP why wouldn’t you just set that up?
My main monitor is a 27 inch so the task bar is only like 23 inches, but the amount of stuff I have open at any given time has my taskbar 2/3 of the way across my screen. That said, I’ve had mine at the top of the screen ever since my iMac G3 and Windows 11 doesn’t allow that either
Brotherhood skipped a lot of stuff that was in FMA03 on the assumption that anyone watching Brotherhood at release would have also seen 03 and would know the divergence point, which does weaken Brotherhood to an extent as time passes and more people watch it without 03.
While I feel Brotherhood had a better ending, I still really like the ending of 03. The writers had to basically guess an ending based on an incomplete manga? And they went for a really personal, small stakes ending that lined up with the clues given and I think they did a really good job. Mangahood ended with a giant nationwide crisis and the intensity of the stakes at that point made it clear the home team would succeed. FMA03’s final conflict was so personal that you could believe the bad ending was a possibility, and in some minor ways I appreciate it
I use an Elite Series 2, if that’s the same thing, and the one I’m currently using is the second one I bought because I broke the first. This one has never been paired to a Windows computer, I bought it after I switched to Linux, it paired normally and has just worked
