Sure you can. But there’s a difference in being compassionate and saying “yeah I can see how you got where you are” and saying “corpos and your stressful job made you obese, you sweet child” which was the vibe I was getting.

A) that’s just like, your opinion, man.
B). You against GMOs too?! Like, someone worked hard to breed him (and me) at near 100% dick. We bananas wouldn’t even be edible if not for selective breeding to increase phallusy-ness!
Possible I misread your intent.
All fine and good, and agreed on all fronts.
I still don’t think it’s a great perspective to normalize or justify obesity because people cope poorly with stress / only have access to fast food / really like French fries / have a back injury / etc. It’s not (generally) an unchangeable destiny, and everyone at every moment is the caretaker of their own bodies.
I didn’t think anybody is arguing it’s a bad thing to avoid / reduce body shaming. Instead, the argument is that overeating is not predestined and out of people’s control and it’s also not a blameless activity.
By all means go to the beach every day, and fuck anybody that says anything negative. Not everybody has to like the look of your skeleton or your furry suit or the look of you spilling out of your bathing suit though: that’s preference not shame.
All of that can be true (and is) and it still doesn’t mean you can’t stop dinner before the fries are gone or cut your sandwich into pieces to eat and then don’t eat them all.
If you’re eating to destress you’re choosing your psychological health over physical health and that’s it’s own problem to address.
Not being extremely mobile or having chronic pain does not require you to eat more calories than you burn. I have a torn disc and take nerve meds so I obviously don’t lift weights or run like I used to, but Im allowed to moderate my calorie intake.
Age and a slowing metabolism are more pernicious, but even those things don’t “force you to eat more calories than you need”. Nothing is forcing anybody to do that.
Whats wrong with being a dick? None of us would be here without dicks. Say no to dick shaming. Dick pride.
Today’s vocab word is: licentious. Or if he is actually paying a boatload, profligacy.
A guy in my lab in his early 50s went over and busted his neck and is now a quadriplegic. He WAS wearing a helmet.
I’m not saying don’t, I’m saying if the universe wants you, it’ll get you.
At least the ones that can’t follow directions and pay attention to the road.
The problem is indeed that ballot harvesting is not legal in Connecticut. The problem is the wrong person put the ballots in the ballot box… We should respect the law, but I don’t really agree with any law that potentially prevents legit ballots from being cast or counted.
Here’s a better article.
Bro, no.
You’ve got some minimal protein, mostly carbs and fat. You’re hurting for protein the most, but fiber is way short, and carbs are way high.
If you’re a 20 something you can look amazing on a diet of vodka and cigarettes, but at 30 or so a PB sando is not gonna cut it. You’ll be needing a protein, a leafy green, and a healthy fat. The carbs will basically always take care of themselves.
Agreed.
It is, in fact, time to stop being the bigger person and start being the more effective person. I don’t care if we set an example, let’s get some shit done.
Right. Fuck, better go back to trump because Biden didn’t solve it.
Get the Mexicages back out, remove presidential term limits, let’s do a day ™ of fascism and put anyone who trump owes money back in charge!
I’m not saying this is your perspective but this is the kind of stupid in reading here that starts from the same perspective.
And obviously trump is the better solution, crayon eater? Two things can be true at the same time: it sucks for regular people but it sucks less now than in 2019.
And however you DO measure it, it’s better now than last term.
NOT BEST. Better. That’s a reasonable measuring stick.
Or a necromancer
Whatever you say Mr Dahmer joke instead of content. I see that was really all in good faith and maybe I unintentionally hurt your feelings by citing a source on base rate biases?
What data would you like me to bring for discussion since you’ve been so open thus far? Do you want me to bring some data showing that teslas spend more time not having accidents than having accidents? I’m happy to go do some homework to enrich this interaction.
It’s not as though you can just ask Tesla for every case of an FSD crash. The falsifiable claim is just me tossing a number, the point is that memorable bad press and bad stats are not the same.
