Joke’s on you, New Vegas wasn’t written by Bethesda and go figure, it’s the best game in the series (alongside 1 and 2).
Oh God that’s horrible. Thank God for mods and skyui.
Do you really believe money from microtransactions goes to the developer and not the publisher? I would sooner believe in a unicorn than that.
You used to be able to unlock cosmetic content by playing instead of paying. They’re taking advantage.
When I got a Switch I was looking forward to those fun quirky menus Nintendo is known for. Imagine my disappointment when I turned it on for the first time.
I think it’s just included in the GOTY edition or whatever it is you buy now that includes the DLCs. I’m not certain on this though. It’s been a while since I played last. You may have to add it yourself.
Yeah, I saw it on Nexus mods now when I was searching for it, titled fixed version.
I mostly stick to indies or old games
Yeah I think indies are the best games to play right now with biggest variety and on some of them you can really feel that it was made with passion and love for games (like Terraria) as opposed to the supposed AAA games. I get that rare feeling when I finish them where I don’t want them to finish because of how good they are.
I did play the first Dragon’s Dogma and I loved it, which is why I just get sad about this game when I hear about some dumb things like complicated fast travel (unless you pay) under the guise of “the creator thinks it’s not fun.” Yeah get bent. I never finished the first game and I think I just might start a new game.
DD2 MTX might not be as horrible as others, but I still find it insulting. Microtransactions are there with a purpose. If it was some small indie developer I might understand, but not for Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take Two or any other big publisher.
Yes, I avoid those games completely. I haven’t played neither Helldivers (didn’t know about it actually), resident evil, assassin’s Creed origins and Valhalla, shadow of war etc.
It’s easier for me to avoid them because I don’t really like most of the releases these days, although I did want to play shadow of war. The only one I played in recent memory is Baldur’s Gate 3. I’ve played monster hunter games for a long time, since freedom unite, but if they shove MTX in the new game I just won’t buy it. I’m so sick of this nonsense in the industry that I wouldn’t even pirate it. There’s a million older extremely good games I haven’t played yet and full priced open world, crafting, stealth action games with light rpg elements and MTX can disappear for all I care.
I have never heard of that teleport option nor seen that plugin in my list of plugins. I didn’t know it existed at all, interesting.
Digital Foundry with their peasant 7800X3D and RTX 4090 dropping frames in a large city.
Yeah, no. I don’t agree with those new modem standards because why in the world would you pay for glorified cheats? We used to get them for free! It’s corporate greed just wanting to extract every single cent out of you.
Divinity 2 is completely awesome. The humor is just 👌 Original Sin 2 is just amazing.
I’m sorry if I misunderstood your comment. Because the industry adjusted people’s expectations and they got the game anyway. I saw threads just like this about MTX in re4.
But it doesn’t matter because we complaining about them are minority, people are gonna buy it anyway, they’re gonna shove more of them in the next game and it’ll break another sales records because nobody cares anymore.
That’s the issue right there, you keep justifying this behavior. This is a 70 dollar game from a giant corporation, which you have to pay to play, and they expect you to pay more. MTX have no place here. They are not putting them in game because of the goodness of their hearts, they are doing it because of greed. If they didn’t want you to buy them why would they put them in?
I’m not talking just about this game, this is my opinion about any game. It’s time to put the foot down. They are slowly boiling us like a frog, first with day one dlcs and season passes and now this.
EDIT: Let’s not forget about performance issues for 70 dollars. The real AAA gaming experience.
Just because it’s nothing new doesn’t make it acceptable for any game, studio or publisher. They are doing this because people are accepting it and know they can get away with it.
I don’t care that it’s a single player game for fuck’s sake. I have a problem with free to play monetization in a paid game, not just this one any other game.
I think they are the game as the developers can base their game around them (remember battlefront 2?) It’s a paid game, 70 dollars no less, and I’m sorry, but there is no justification for microtransactions.
How come Baldur’s Gate 3 can be without microtransactions for example? It’s greed pure and simple. If they didn’t want you to buy them, and there weren’t people putting in ridiculous amounts of money in them they wouldn’t put them in.
Oh I’m sorry, I guess I should be grateful that a 70 dollar unoptimized game from a multi-million dollar company has microtransactions. I don’t care what mental gymnastics you come up with, they have no place in paid games.
I think the whole game should be reviewed and that includes the microtransactions. There’s a reason they add them after the reviews are in because they know people don’t like to be nickel and dimed in a game that costs 60 to 70 fucking dollars.
l used to think that way until my best friend got a baby. I love him more than anything and find it funny whatever he does.
