Why are these planes still allowed to fly?
Canadian cosmonaut desperate for comrades in the worst province.
Yes, the dogs are also communists.
Why are these planes still allowed to fly?
I know English is super common (we all know why that is) but it doesn’t mean you have to adopt it as an official language. I don’t even think English is widely spoken in Ukraine so this move is just silly.
The ICC immediately issued a warrant for Putin pretty much the second the war kicked off in 2022, but they have been incredibly slow with Israel. Right now it seems there is an application for an arrest warrant but it applies to Netanyahu and “Hamas leaders” because “both sides committed war crimes.”
It’s proven itself to be a complete clown show, a circus. How do you issue these arrest warrants immediately after what happened in Crimea? The ICC was incredibly quick, since the beginning of this war, to punish Russian officials but when it comes to Israel and even Ukraine they are really dragging their feet.
That’s what I noticed too. After Ukraine kills civilians they pivot to punishing Russian officials, what about the people in Crimea that were literally just killed???
Is programming.dev for programmers and such? Because if so I can’t say I’m surprised, what with the whole undermining humanities and pushing STEM.
Really happy this is happening, I also saw on Portuguese news that’s there’s also something going on with Vietnam? Either the DPRK is increasing diplomacy or Russia, all in all this is a nice improvement. I know Putin is not a communist (I don’t know if I’d even call him sympathetic, I don’t know much about him) but it’s interesting to see him willing to build these relationships, if that makes sense.
These people are trying really really hard to get us killed
What was the actual point of this summit, because it sure as hell wasn’t peace. Just a big ol’ waste of time imho
I’m not Chinese but would China be willing to adopt me too?
You’re right, rioting is probably the better term to use since I would think “civil war” would require a lot more organizing… either way the situation in the States and up here are not looking good.
Canada and the US—no matter how much Canadian leadership throughout history have tried to prove the contrary—are basically one nation. Very rarely are they diametrically opposed and when they are then the Canadian leader ends up getting yelled at or assaulted (just learned about Pres. Johnson attacking PM. Pearson in my history class, wild altercation but so in character it’s almost comedic). If Canada doesn’t want the problems to boil over then, yeah, the government is going to have to start pulling away from the US and solving our domestic issues properly. If civil war breaks out I don’t know what I’ll do but hopefully escape isn’t expensive.
Billionaires run the world
Extremely wealthy people shape public policy through their platforms, firms, foundations, and investments—imposing their individual values and beliefs, and bypassing democratic governance principles.
Clearly I’m uneducated on how these reports work because I was completely surprised that this was even in there. But also, if civil war does break out what are we going to do? Take in refugees? Harden the US/Canada border? I do wonder if civil war would ever happen here, what with the Israel marches going on (Toronto had a lot more people than I was expecting…).
Every time I see your comments they are always so detailed, it’s great.
With all of this, Russia has more than enough reason to strike back, but they’re very clearly holding back and I do not fault that decision. I can’t begin to understand their motives for staying within Ukraine, but for me I would hesitate striking anyone else because, even though international law gives them that right, I don’t believe the global judicial system will let that slide. Russia is public enemy number one and any attack they do is already seen as unjustified, so if they went after let’s say France, people would go fucking insane because everything Russia does is inherently bad, no matter how much legal justification they have.
So in international law, Russia has every right to strike a good chunk of European countries + the US and Canada, but a problem I have with that is would they even be allowed to? Considering how much international law is catered to the West, even though Russia has just cause to strike outside of Ukraine, would the Judicial system really let it slide? Russia has been labeled the villain and I don’t know if any amount of legal justifications will let them do what they can, if that makes sense.
Thank you for the explanation, this makes sense. So under international law Russia does have just cause to attack countries who are supplying Ukraine with weapons and intelligence, thats interesting because I have a feeling that if Russia did do that then the international judicial system would throw a fit…
This is a genuine question because your comment got me thinking: does Russia even have just-cause to attack Europe (jus ad bellum)? I’m worried that if they attacked now that there wouldn’t be enough reason to do so and then it would escalate even further.
I know you’re making a joke, and it’s hilarious, but it reminded me of someone mentioning why universities push STEM so much and it’s because of their link to arms manufacturing.
Well as long as they have permission then I guess it’s okay! Because I guess the US can just do that.
Probably the best thing they could do. Seeking China’s aid will yield actual results rather than constantly receiving weapons from the west which is only prolonging Ukraine’s destruction.
