    Not saying that we should not try our literal best in reducing the effects of climate change, and eventually reversing it, but isn’t a lot of its effects not being reversible one of the bigger issues of climate change?

    I wish the governments were not run by old fossils that invest and get bribed and profit from fossil fuel, weapons and car companies. We have known this shit for several decades and yet the only country that seems to be taking this seriously seems to be China unfortunately. We are at a point where renewable energy like solar is cheaper than conventional sources in a lot of areas, but the transition has been slow because despite the decades long saying of “it’s not cheap enough”, what matters is that the big guys profit less from renewables in comparison to fossil fuels. They do profit from renewables, but they would profit more from fossil fuels and that little extra profit is worth it to destroy the fucking planet apparently.
