They’ll declare fraud and a stolen election anyway… The many lawsuits the republicans will fire up, almost assures that at the very least a handfull will get to the supreme court quickly, will be a certainty…

And, unless there is a shift somewhere, the supreme court will proclaim that there is enough suspicion of shenanigans against a trump win that they’ll just decide amongst themselves who will win the election, ignoring the “people’s” vote altogether…

Perhaps the military is willing to hold the supreme court accountable, because I do not see anyone else able to do it right now.

Wouldn’t it be immensely entertaining if the day after the election all current supreme court justices had vanished?

Tried a short google but there was no old in depth information about the case back then.

All in all it is at least a strange thing that the people around him thought it was a good idea for him to attend the olympics and enabled him to do it.

I am not sure where you got the torture for days from, there was none of that mentioned in the case, nor what he was sentenced for.

This is a bit of an interesting conundrum …

Granted, I do not know the details of the crime for which he plead guilty and was sentenced. Was it a violent rape? Or was it a concensual get together but she was far to young and he was slapped hard for it? Now I don’t condone it either way but it might give nuance to how he feels about it.

On one side, he, and society overall see it as he served his sentence (not all of it but that is not his fault) and is rehabilitated, he made changes to his life after that and made sure he is not near minors alone again, now even has a family of his own.

But, I really think it’s wrong to think rehabilitation means you can stand on a podium for admiration, or be in a place that strives for excellence in rhe public eye.

This is where he and the people around him should have realized that, no, no matter how good he is in his sport, he should just not be a competitor in the olympics as a shining example of greatness.

Rehabilitation means to be allowed back into society, in a menial job out of view and not in a spotlight of any kind.

It is definitely not a full reset on your life and you can do whatever, thinking people mostly forgot what you did.

So the bullying boo’s are quite justified imo and he should have expected this backlash because he sought the spotlight and admiration for his greatness in sport. And it shows he thought it a deserved thing for his ego following the years of hardship he went through after making a big mistake when he was young.

“Oh don’t worry, he’s just on vacation and/or has business there, he’ll come back (after he sold other hidden US top secret information)”

“I do not believe my people have done this” (So do not try to seek justice)

Not only that, he has to, it’s the only way he can postpone or cancel his impending criminal convictions.

Besides that, for the people pushing his movement it currently is the only option to seat a king and solidify a path for his family to inherit the throne.

So I fully expect a lot of trouble around the elections, from lawsuits to riots and open hostilities, and will be very surprised if it all goes fairly peacefully.

He’s already been told he has “the votes” now and has won. So if that turns out not to be happening the closer we get to November’s results, to him it will be a purely fraudulent steal.

It would be hilarious if all three showed up at the debate location (if it even happens) to show support to Harris, I think the orange man would blue screen. :-D

At this point I believe they will ignore/disavow any voting result that does not benefit them, even if it was an overwhelming result.

Well I am not a fan, at all, far from it, Biden is too old, he was too old 4 years ago… But it has absolutely no use to choose a new candidate 4 months before the election and still expect to get a landslide win.

Because without a landslide win there is nothing against the door to stop Trump claiming victory and destroying the USA just for the benefits of his close friends and family (and keeping himself out of jail).

Heck, it will be like last time, Trump will be found mostly on the golfcourse (and billing the government for it again) and his family and henchmen will run the country for him, ignoring the law, congress and even the constitution. 4 years later Trump will have installed one of his sons permanently in the white house, without an election.

Only an overwhelmingly Democrat win will give anyone pause and realize that Trump has no right to claim anything (again).

Currently there just is no blue candidate that the whole country knows all about and can accept enough to massively vote for, and there just is no time to present and get to know one.

I would almost say make it a dual Democratic ballot in November, any votes for either of the blue candidates go to the eventual winner. But I don’t think the republicans will allow that to happen.

Finding the best candidate is a ship that sailed 2 years ago if not 3… Same with prosecuting and jailing Trump before the elections deadline saving him.

Mistakes were made, the train is chugging at high speed, pulling the emergency break now, 4!!! months before the election, will not end well.

It is too late to go find another candidate that has any sort of chance to beat Trump.

Biden still has a hidden card or two, but if too much attention is laid there certain voters will lose interest for sure.

Next step is adding a scoring system with penalties for certain behavior and it will be quite similar to the social system that is rolling out in China…

It looks and feels like everyone is waiting out what happens in November and with it what happens in January… (There might not even be an inauguration in January, Trump might begin his day 1 dictatorship right after he claims winning the elections, and has his goons to support him)

Everybody that matters now is frozen from acting untill past the election, while imo now should be the time to intervene and not let it roll onwards, remove one of the chess pieces now and the momentum might not be unstoppable.

I’ve been gently pushing for the same message but at best hear people say “oh it’s just politics, and we have laws against all this so it will be years before anything can truely change”

Hitler’s power was solidified in a matter of months, whereby he threatened and/or had his political opposition killed. Then he came with the excuse “I don’t believe my people did this”

No one dared say any of it was against the laws, he was fully above the law and shielded anyone he felt worthy of the same, ofcourse he would have them dissappear when their use ran out…

I have hope democracy prevails… But also a big feeling that the republicans have all their pawns lined up for a perfect storm this time (and half of them are still hidden), allowing them to be able to semi legally brush the election results aside. They had 6+ years to prepare…

Only a true landslide of blue votes might be able to give some of them pause, a small difference would be ignored and decided upon faster than Gore vs Bush.

Trump will declare a win regardless of the outcome.

Pleasantly surprised he is mentioned in that way.

I stood near him on “conventions” a few times with some years in between and he is such a nasty person both while making phone calls and in the way he treats others/his staff.

Comes over as someone who can’t find any joy in the small things in his life and p*sses on everyone else because of it.
