3·2 days agoWell, it really makes sense for these every specifically tuned biological machines to all function more or less the same way.
Everything we can glean from neurology pretty much says our perceptions are similar, we just process them differently.
Red is a shorter wavelength than blue. It would make no sense for the brain to interpret long wavelengths as short or short as long, which is probably why our colour perceptions are more or less the same.
Language affects our perception more than the biological hardware we have. The physical sensations are similar to everyone, but processing them is different. Which is why it could still be that your red isn’t my red. But my point is I don’t think it’d ever be blue or green in any context. It’d je different, perhaps, but not fundamentally so.
The ancient Greeks used to call the sky bronze. Related, there was this cool short the other day. Talked about how someone raised their kid normally other than carefully making sure never to say what colour the sky is, and then later inquiring about it. The girl had trouble at first, but calling it some mix of white and blue. The point in that was that kids learn colours somehow related to other objects. And the sky, as “an object”, is a very different category and was thus weird for her to assign a colour to.

This might be silly to ask, but have you tried high CBD strains instead of “purely recreational” ones (which often have high THC and abysmally low CBD)?
CBD attenuates some effecs of THC. I very much doubt it would change the behaviour of THC completely for you, but there’s still a lot we need to learn about cannabis so, I wouldn’t say anything for certain.

There was no way to know where these people would be when the bombs went off. Israel could have detonated at night, to minimise the chance of civilian casualties. They didn’t. During busy markets.
This was literally textbook terrorism, and against international law (see link).

You’re living in an imaginary world and making completely unfounded assumptions about other people while insisting on your superiority.
Can you give evidence of what you’ve done to “make things better”, or has your contribution been to whinge online how everyone except you is a bad person, while ignoring all the people actually working to improve things (something which I’m pretty sure you’re not doing yourself)?

You’re acting as if there’s actual democracy everywhere and changing the status quo is just a matter of deciding we want better things. You’re disregarding the practical state of democracy and literally all the activism. You’re disregarding the entire history of humanity, basically. You’re acting as if we could just have a conference call among humanity and just decide to get rid of everything bad, and if that doesn’t happen, it means that everyone is a shit selfish person.

Of what? People doing things to change things? How about literally all activists? Most people are too busy with their own lives to actively give up everything, but if you’re arguing that no-one is doing anything to “make things better”, that’s a position that’s very easy to prove wrong.
Let’s not pretend all humans are incapable of peace just because we have a system which makes the greedy and cruel rise to the top.
You might be right. I find it dubious, but I think you might be.
Yeah memory is a funny thing I guess. But like, it seems that there would’ve needed to be at least a few years of someone actively blocking the kid from going home if he knew were home was, until he could be gaslighted into believing the new one.
