Do most motherboards receive long term support updates? I feel like I’ve only ever gotten a few updates for the ones I’ve used but maybe that was because I was buying older boards.
Big fan of SBC gaming, open source engine recreations/source ports, gaming in general, alternative operating systems, and all things modding.
Trying to post and comment often in an effort to add to Lemmy’s growth.

I think they’re aware of your stash of full Family Guy episodes on Youtube featuring random zooms.
Also doesn’t the RIAA only cover the music industry?
The obscure content thing is an issue I’ve run into especially looking for ~70s era sci-fi or horror movies that are regarded as cult classics or underrated online.
If you are looking for software you might want to look for websites that list open source projects.
I can’t really think of decent mega lists though. The FMHY one does have a lot of simply free things but it is mixed in with a lot of pirated content.
Totally. I feel like that’s a bit of a holdover from Reddit is all and there’s usual some flexibility here so I’m saying it’s good when people utilize it.
Personally I like altering the title, including the origina title in the text, and maybe a few other articles on the topic or to add context. It doesn’t take much effort on my part and I feel like it shows I’m not just dumping links and might engage in a conversation about it.
It’s more targeted at the lemming who posted this. Considering people can edit post titles and add additional text to a link post there’s not really a risk in trying something more informative. They wouldn’t need to delete their post or match some ultra rigid formatting.
I don’t have any faith in Huffington Post (or several other news outlets) deviating from clickbait. In this situation someone might not recognize the name or act and assume it’s irrelevant to them. I can see why they do it but I don’t like it.
I haven’t seen a lot of people get upset about altered titles on Lemmy. I feel like there’s a general understanding that an accurate title is better.
Some people cite the article’s original headline in the text below the submitted link.
Why not edit the title to be a little bit less clickbait?
Maybe something like:
Mark Kelly, A Possible Democratic Veep Pick, Just Changed His Position On Protecting the Right to Organize Act
I wonder what specifically is causing this issue
It probably doesn’t help that it’s abandonware and was limited largely to the PC and Xbox 360.
A lot of people only hear about it in “top abandonware games” lists that would mention it and games like Alpha Protocol which was recently relisted.
Do you have any other games where the first hour was extremely enjoyable?
I felt that way about Returnal
I feel like 2006 was a bit like a rollercoaster. You kind of just enjoy the ride and eagerly await what’s coming next. It helps it’s a relatively short game by today’s standards with HowLongToBeat saying it will take seven hours to complete.
If you’ve played prop hunt and like randomly beating objects to find out what’s people you’ll probably like 2017.
In all seriousness though it is a good game that has a decent amount of fun frantic chaotic combat. I feel like it’s a bit difficult to compare to other games but if I had to I’d say it reminds me a bit of BioShock and Control
If anyone wants to give it a try there are several source ports of it so you can play it on an a lot of alternative systems like the PS Vita for example
I feel like it’s just more of that corporate fence sitting. It’s just extra strange and off putting when it’s coming an individual versus your average soulless company.
They’re also called evaporator coolers. I am not sure if the word swamp refers to it performing a function that might be found around a swamp or how they operate.
Maybe the pool of water at the bottom is referred to as a swamp.
I linked the video but it’s been a while since I watched it. I am not sure if he explains the nomenclature.
Kind of related but here’s a video from Technology Connections if you want to learn more about swamp coolers and why they only work in specific conditions
Have you not had much luck using operators?
I’ve found them relatively reliable

Yeah it seems like since COVID19 and the release of RG350 there’s been a real increase in the amount of progress
I’m consider getting one for surfing the web on a secondary monitor. Nothing important is occurring but I asked this question for two reasons.
Plenty of people put some level of work into making their PC’s OS more secure using YouTube tutorials and tips but they may not think to update their BIOS for example
