Columbia University has announced a series of new policies following President Trump’s revocation of $400 million in federal funding over campus protests.
The University is so dumb. They think that capitulating to the Fascists would be the end of the problem? The fascists see higher education as a bastion of Liberal Woke and want to take it down. Trump will simply come up with another demand, and another, until the college is completely wiped out, or a hollow shadow of a real place of higher learning.
Using the word “dumb” is downplaying what their administration truly stands for.
They are smart, wealthy and powerful. Let’s look at them for what they are.
They want any education to be stimied. They’re no longer interested in advancements.
We need to remember, and when we take back control every capitulation needs to be punished.
These traitors should receive 0 federal dollars under a democratic administration. Permanently.

Fascist collaborators are not protected the way Trump is. Personal consequences can be applied now, without waiting.
I mean… I’m doing my part when it comes to boycotting businesses, but how the hell do I apply consequences to a university I will never attend.

Unless you’re suggesting violence, which would be wrong, again… what the fuck consequences could any random person actually put those folks?

Wrong or not, between Jan 6, the widespread intimidation of judges and politicians to act in MAGAs favor, and Green Mario, we’ve been shown what gets results. Our choices are to learn that lesson or lose.

There will be no return to pre-2025. Ever. The damage to all institutions and the entrenchment of the victorious billionaire class are too severe. I wish people would finally understand that. Be prepared to fight a literal civil war, you will not vote your way out of this.
They had a choice between filing a lawsuit and capitulating if they lose, or bowing down to king Trump.

At first, I wrote a reply asking what tangible good a lawsuit would do. I wrote that Trump would ignore any ruling that was in Columbia’s favor.
I deleted it ten minutes later. No, a lawsuit may not do any tangible good, but I was missing the point. RESISTING is the point. Protecting academic freedom and freedom of speech is the point. Fighting fascism is the point.
Fuck Columbia. I hope they carry this shame for the rest of their existence.

If missing $400 million would have them shut down, what’s that $14 billion endowment for? Show? It accrued 11.5% last year. That’s three times what Trump was threatening to not give them
