Wait why is this season’s depression more remarkable than the other seasonal depressions? I mean I’ve been on a roll from season to season depression and can’t say there is a better or worse

I actually get happy during this season. I can’t stand weather higher than 73F. I start to sweat like nobodies business and who doesn’t like the rain?

Also you can actually see the stars and can hold a regular sleep schedule unlike in summer where it never actually gets beyond twilight

It just finally cooled off where I live. I can spend more than 15 minutes outside without sweating.

I’m so happy. I call it Reverse Seasonal Affective Disorder. The first day around May that it hits 90⁰ outside I’m depressed until late October.

Aw fuck. I was just starting to get regular depressed again and then you go and remind me that there’s also a whole other kind of depression on its way. Depressing.

So does anyone else gamify heating their houses in winter? Like I try to keep the furnace from turning on by cooking and running washing machines and such. Get myself sick of baking so I don’t in the middle of summer.

Absolutely. My spouse looks at me like I’m crazy for putting black blankets on the floor in front of all the south-facing windows, but it’s a noticeable difference in those rooms. I also keep the leftover pasta and kettle water out until it’s cooled down instead of dumping hot water down the drain. Helps to avoid running the humidifier too.
