    I’ve seen this theory, but I don’t really think it has any legs to be honest. The reality is that the nazi population in Ukraine is actually pretty small. They got into power artificially when the west ran a coup in 2014, and backed them after, but it’s not really representative of what regular people think or want. Hence why a whole bunch of people fled Ukraine at the start of the war, many to Russia, and why they have to kidnap people to force them into fighting now.

    Any partisan movement requires support from the general population to operate. A bunch of nazis in the woods aren’t going to last long because they’re going to be hated by everyone. The difference in Afghanistan or Vietnam was that people genuinely believed in fighting and defending their land against an occupation. That’s very much not the case in Ukraine.
