I mean there are chinese spies in europe, which suppress, bully and sometimes even kill chinese journalists who have fleed (?) to europe. And thats not even a conspiracy theory, there were investigative journalists who have uncovered this in several countries.

Yeah, I think thats still really brushing the line.
This is a carrot and stick thing, by making Russia an extreme example we can steer them back from the edge.
But we do need to have other sanctions, they’re just being dickholes.
