Tbh modern universities have become paper mills where the focus is on the number of papers you have published and not the quality. Global rankings are mostly determined by this and the quality of education & research has suffered. I don’t doubt that the chinese papers at focus in this article are high quality, but we need to move away from judging universities based on #of published papers.

I agree with that, quality of research is far more important than quantity.
